Mine has the individual number of 799 stamped at the bottom. Can't find the Trusty dog mark anywhere else.Īlmost all of the watches I've seen have the 0125968 case reference stamped on them. The crescent moon and crown suggests to me it is a German hallmark.Īny help with the rest? Can't even make out what the third mark is. The watch has been running great and bang on time overnight despite only getting two turns of the crown. I'll give it a wash later but I'm not a great fan of polishing.

The idea is that the watch is worn as a belt buckle and by pressing the button underneath you can flip down the watch part, look over your gut and see the time. The basic information I have found is that these were made by both Cyma and Tavannes and marketed by Hermes (some dials are co branded) to golfers. Any help with that, I can't find them other than a few quotes in fashion blogs? Apparently the original owner bought it from "Grays of London" (?). Went back in yesterday and picked it up :D. Some are going for big sums but one sold recently at a Florida auction for $130 :shock: I think I'll send some pictures off and get a valuation. Came home and did a little googling which mainly turned up old Christie's auction results (the eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed I had a quick post up asking if anyone had ever used Christie's before). I ran into one at a small, out of town antique store last weekend. The Flying Banana first brought my attention to these when he spotted an eBay auction back in November.
